Everything you’ve always wanted to know about EFL…but were too busy to ask.
What burning questions have you got about EFL? You know the ones that are burning away in the back of your mind but you felt too foolish to ask, or those ones that you have asked but never got a decent answer, or even the ones you just never found the time to ask.
Well, now there is a way to quickly and easily get them answered.
A new project called EFL Talks has been asking teachers from all around the world for questions they would like answered and have now asked some of the brightest names in EFL, and me, to answer them. Except they won’t just be answered in articles or blog posts like this one, they will be answered in short 10-minute online presentations.
It is quite exciting to be a part of this project as we only get 10 minutes to talk. One criticism I have had over the years of some conferences and online workshops is that the sessions are too long, that the essential information could be presented in about 10 minutes. Well, now I have the chance to prove it.
I will be trying to answer the question ‘How can we encourage students to get more involved in bringing realia into the classroom?’. But if that isn’t an issue you think is important there are many others, like…

All of the answers will be presented over two days on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st February. To sign up for the event, you only need to enrol through the Moodle4Teachers page completely free of charge. You can also find more information about the presenters and the questions they will be answering on the EFL Talks website as well as being able to watch any videos later than you might have missed.
And, of course, there is a Facebook page, EFL Talks, for up to date information. Finally, there is the Twitter feed from which I shall be attempting to live tweet as much of the event as possible.
